Making a good cup of coffee isn’t hard, but you can make your coffee better buy following a couple of quick and easy tips.

Buying coffee

If possible, always buy your coffee beans fresh and then grind them yourself. It’s not always easy to find a store that has fresh roasted beans, so you might have to buy them roasted and sealed, but always be sure that the are whole beans as the flavor will stay longer. Get yourself a good grinder and only grind what you need for each pot you’re making.

Grinding coffee

When you’re grinding your coffee, you have a couple of choices. If you are using a french press make sure you don’t grind your coffee too fine, as you’ll get a really strong cup of coffee that will be bitter tasting. When making espresso your coffee grind should be as fine as possible.

How To Store Coffee

Always store your coffee in a clean, dry, airtight container, in dark and not too hot place. If you bought you coffee ground, then leave the coffee in the bag it came in and put that in an airtight container.
Never store your coffee in the refrigerator. Coffee absorbs flavors and aromas from the food in your refrigerator.

Your equipment

No matter if you use a french press or a regular coffee mashine, make sure you clean your coffee equipment regularly, this will increase the quality of your coffee.
